Kentucky URLTA 30/60-Day Unclaimed Deposit Rules

KRS 383.580 does not establish one simple universal deposit-return deadline. If a tenant leaves owing last month’s rent and makes no deposit-return demand, subsection (6) permits application after 30 days. If the tenant owes no rent and has a refund due, the landlord sends notice and may retain it if no tenant response arrives within 60 days after that notice.
