What to preserve

  • Rental agreement.
  • Termination date.
  • Written new mailing address and proof of receipt.
  • Written itemization and refund.
  • Move-in/move-out condition evidence.
  • Damage repair/cleaning records.

Why the address matters

The ordinary deadline is not simply 30 days from move-out. The statute compares that date with 15 days after the owner receives the renter’s new mailing address and uses whichever is later.

Wyoming compares the termination date with receipt of the renter’s new mailing address. Educational information only.
