Retention processAccount + damage listing
Coverage and exceptions must be checked.
Audit each step
- Was URLTA applicable in the county?
- Was the deposit held in the required account?
- Was the damage-list process followed?
- Did the tenant sign or specifically dissent?
- Does each charge correspond to documented damage or another contractual debt?
Tennessee URLTA is county-specific. Confirm coverage before applying § 66-28-301. The 60-day notification provision is not a universal move-out refund deadline. Educational information only.
