Vermont Local Security Deposit Ordinances

Section 4461(g) allows a town or municipality to adopt an ordinance governing security deposits so long as it is supplemental to and not inconsistent with the statute’s minimum protections. Local ordinances may authorize interest and a housing-board dispute process.
