Evidence is easier to review when it is organized by question.

The lease and ledger answer what was charged. Photos and inspection records help show condition. Invoices and age records help explain the amount. Forwarding-address and delivery records help establish the timeline.

Keep original files where possible

Do not rely only on screenshots of screenshots. Original photos, PDFs, emails and portal downloads can preserve dates, full context and document details that are useful later.

After the checklist

  1. Rebuild the math on the final statement.
  2. Start with the largest charge or the charge with the weakest documentation.
  3. Open the relevant state guide.
  4. Draft a factual request for missing records or calculations.
