Utah Electronic Security Deposit Delivery Rule

The current version of § 57-17-3 allows the owner or agent to provide the deposit balance, prepaid-rent balance and deduction notice electronically by a means provided to the owner or agent by the renter.

  • Email address or electronic channel provided to the landlord.
  • Timestamp of delivery.
  • Message contents and attachments.
  • Any bounce/error notice.
